Dearborn Cases Not Available Online

Several types of cases are excluded from public online searches for Dearborn court dockets. Drug charges disposed under MCL 333.7411 (first-time offender status) do not appear online. Cases handled under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act (HYTA) are sealed from public view. Cases that were expunged under Michigan's Clean Slate Law no longer show up in public record searches. Personal Protection Orders are excluded under MCR 3.705.

Juvenile cases are confidential under MCL 600.1750. Any case where a court has ordered records sealed will not show in MiCOURT or the Odyssey portal. For an official criminal background check, use the Michigan State Police ICHAT system at apps.michigan.gov/ICHAT. The court systems are not designed or intended for background check purposes and the results should not be used for hiring or licensing decisions.
